Q: What is a FAQ?

A: FAQ is an acronym for “frequently asked questions.”


Q: How can I send you my financial information?

A: Upon completing our Client Service Provider (CSP) Agreement, a link to our secure server will be provided to you.  There you may securely upload all of your financial information as you see fit.  If you prefer not to transfer your information electronically (upload or email), you may send it by fax or snail mail (US Postal Service).  We encourage you to visit our Bookkeeping Made Easy page for tips and tricks on bookkeeping Best Practices.


Q: What are your rates and billing terms?

A: We bill monthly for our flat rate clients, twice monthly for project work. Our rate for in-office visits is $120/hr, plus travel time if the meeting is in your office. Our rate for day-to-day bookkeeping and accounting services is only $60/hr, billable in 6 minute increments. Our introductory rate of $34/hr. is good for work performed during the first calendar month you retain us. Rates for full-time staff and Corporate Solutions are lower. Additional billing terms are provided in our Client Service Provider (CSP) Agreement.


Q: What forms of payment do you accept?

A: While we do accept cash, for security reasons we encourage you to use our other forms of payment: check, EFT, PayPal, Visa, or Mastercard.


Q: How do you protect my privacy?

A: While only doctors and lawyers enjoy legally privileged confidentiality (CPA’s do not), we will not disclose your financial information without your written authorization or a valid court order requiring us to do so.  To view our Email Privacy Policy, click here or the link at the bottom of this page.


Q: Do you prepare and file other business tax returns?

A: Yes!  We will prepare and submit quarterly payroll tax returns, 1096′s, city and county business tax returns, and sales tax returns.


Q: Will you work with my CPA?

A:Yes!  Our accountants are happy to work with other accounting professionals.  Simply provide us with written permission to disclose your financial information and we will do so.


Q: Do you offer any discounts?

A:Yes!  Volume discounts begin as soon as your monthly billing exceeds 125 hours.  Discounts are also provided under our Corporate Solutions programs.


Q: Do I have to give you my account numbers and passwords?

A:No!  While we would hope that you would trust your accountant with your pertinent financial information, you are not required to disclose any information you do not feel comfortable disclosing.


Q: My books are a mess. Can you fix them?

A:Yes!  Whether the mess was caused by you or your last bookkeeper, our accountants are highly skilled mess fixers!  With an average of more than 9 years accounting experience, they have all had many opportunities to fix messes just like yours.  So relax!


Q: I’ve never heard of LIV Bookkeeping, LLC – can I get references?

A:Of course! Because of privacy concerns, we cannot provide that information on our website. However, please call or email us, and we can send you our list of references. Please understand that because many of our competitors would like to have our client list, we can only provide a handful of references. We hope this will suffice. Rest assured that we prepare a complete and accurate tax return, and your satisfaction is always our guarantee.
